Tänään pennut pääsivät ensimmäistä kertaa ulos. Oli hieno ilma, lämpöä +2 astetta ja maassa puhdasta lunta. Ensimmäisen ihmetyksen jälkeen kaikki olivat kovasti innoissaan ulkoilusta ja juoksentelivat lumessa aivan kuin olisivat aina ennenkin sitä tehneet. Kylmähän niille tuli kuitenkin aika nopeasti, joten jatkamme ulkoiluharjoittelua taas heti kun sää sallii.

Viime perjantaina kävimme siis eläinlääkärillä. Jokainen on nyt sirutettu ja rekisteripaperit anottu Kennelliitosta. Eläinlääkäri myös tarkasti pennut ja kaikki ovat terveitä ja hyvinvoivia.

Today the puppies went out for the first time. We had a nice weather, +2 degrees (celsius) and pure new snow on the ground. After the first chock they all were very excited and were running around in the snow like if they had done it many times before. But they started to freeze very soon so we will continue some other day.

Last Friday we went to see our vet. All puppies got microchips and we have applied for their pedigrees. They were also checked by the vet and they were healthy and just fine.

...ja kaksi päivää... Pennut ovat muuttaneet olohuoneeseen ja makuuhuoneessa on ihanan rauhallista. Pennuille ruoka maistuu, samaa ei tosin voi sanoa matolääkkeestä. Voi sitä irvistelyä ja massutusta, kun yrittävät sylkeä lääkkeen pois, tahnaa on joka puolella, sekä pennuissa että lääkkeen antajassa. Kaikille pennuille on nyt koti odottamassa eikä parempia voisi kasvattaja toivoa. Huomenna mennään sirutukseen ja tarkastukseen eläinlääkärille ja sitten saadaan anottua rekisteritodistukset.

...and two days... The puppies have moved to the livingroom and our bedroom is now nice and quiet. Puppies love to eat, but hate the deworming paste. They spit and the paste is all over them and the poor one who is giving it to them. They all have a home waiting for them and we couldn't be more satisfied. Tomorrow they will get the microchips and an examination by our vet. Then we can apply for the registration certificates.

Pennut ovat kasvaneet ja voivat paksusti. Martta imettää niitä vielä pitkin hampain muutaman kerran päivässä. Meidän pöytäkone ei suostu yhdistämään nettiin, joten kuvia tulee lisää kun saadaan masiina taas toimimaan.

The puppies are just fine and grow fast. Martta is still brest feeding them a few times every day. Our computer doesn't connect to internet so more pictures will be added later.

Ruskea tyttö on vielä vailla harrastavaa kotia. The brown girl is still looking for an active home.

Pennut 3 viikkoa 5 päivää. Puppies 3 weeks 5 days.

Ensimmäinen ruoka/First meal

Tänään pennut saivat ensimmäistä kertaa kiinteää ruokaa. Laitoin n. 100 g naudan jauhelihaa ja pari ruokalusikallista hyla-kermaviiliä. Pikainen lämmitys mikrossa ja lautanen pentukoriin. Neljä pennuista ymmärsi heti mistä oli kysymys ja sapuska katosi lähes kokonaan muutamassa minuutissa.

Today the puppies got real food for the first time. I put about 100 g of minced meat and a about 1/2 dl of hmmm.. it's kind of mix of yoghurt and sourmilk, don't know what it is in English... A short warming in the microwave oven and the bowl to the puppy basket. Four of the puppis knew instantly what to do with it and they ate almost all in a few minutes.

Meillä kaikki lapset syövät pieninä Muumi-lautasilta...=) All our kids eat from a Moomin-plate when they are young...=)

Ja se yksi, joka ei halunnut syödä.... And the one who didn't want to eat....

I want my mom....!!!
